  • Abstract:  All the fanfare surrounding the introduction of the Sony NEX-7 caught the attention of many photographers interested in a small camera capable of high-quality results, myself included. I duly entered the pre-order lotte...

  • This device features HDMI outputs,
  • This device is only SD compatible.
  • The image stabilization and dynamic range optimizer give you high quality images using this device....

  • Abstract:  The Sony A850 and A900 are full frame cameras that pack in 24.6-megapixels on that big sensor. The cameras appear at the top-end of the Alpha system line up. At first blush, the A850 appears almost identical to the pricier Sony A900. After delving d...

  • Abstract:  Sony claim to have cemented their place in the digital SLR market with the Alpha 900 and while they’ve got a long way to go before they take any serious stranglehold on the monopoly that in reality belongs to Canon and Nikon, it is fair to say that...

  • All in all, the Sony Alpha A900 is a very capable heavyweight option for those not already wedded to either Canon or Nikon....

  • The 24.6-megapixel Sony A900 is a high-res, high-performance and high-priced camera, selling for $2999 for the body alone. There are several impressive specs, including maximum 5 frame per second burst shooting at full resolution and an excellent op...

  • The best image quality weve ever seen from a DSLR shooting in good to moderate lighting; beautiful viewfinder with 100 percent coverage; great price for such a high-resolution, handsome camera; gorgeous 3-inch LCD could be the best screen on a camera yet...
  • Noisy images at ISO 800-1600; unacceptable noise levels at ISO 3200-6400; no Live View mode; no HD movie mode; lacks large stable of lenses available for Nikon and Canon cameras
  • It was little over a year ago that Sony introduced its first DSLR to graze the pro market—the prosumer-oriented 12.2-megapixel A700 which was distinguished as being the companys first to use a CMOS sensor—albeit of the smaller, standard APS si...

  • Abstract:  Boasting incredibly high resolution for a 35mm-size D-SLR, the A900 features a full-frame sensor and some unique technology. Sony developed an Exmor 24x36mm CMOS chip for this camera; it’s packed with 24.6 million effective pixels but they’re quite la...

  • The Sony A900 is not simply the highest-resolution DSLR out there – its much more than that. If youve read through the Ease of Use and Image Quality sections of this review, you will know that I liked working with this camera a lot. Its viewfinder i...

  • High resolution; in-body image stabilization; nice viewfinder; great accessory system.
  • Cant lock focus-point selector; Intelligent Preview button much too easy to hit accidentally; some subpar aspects of performance; no Live View; loud mirror.
  • A good first try at a pro-level camera, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 has the high resolution but unfortunately lacks some of the performance and usability you expect from a model in its price range.
