  • The Nikon Coolpix P300 has a nice lens, shooting modes for every kind of user, a solid design, and it's easy to use
  • The P300's photos look overprocessed when viewed at full size, and performance feels a bit slow
  • Snapshooters wanting a little more creative control than the average point-and-shoot offers should check out the Nikon Coolpix P300.

  • The Nikon P300 lives up to its "P for Performance" designation with better-than-average high ISO performance and a generous, fast lens at wide angle.

  • The Nikon P300, while not quite perfect, delivers a lot of bang for your buck – shooting 1080p video and solid images up to ISO 800. The controls are a bit of mixed bag as they give enthusiasts a serious level of control over their exposures; however,...

  • small size, dual rotational wheels for ease of use, bright aperture at wideangle, 1080p HD movie setting
  • no hotshoe, standardsized 1/2.3in compact sensor, lack of control buttons, no manual focus
  • The Nikon Coolpix P300 is a success for what it offers, but although it may look a lot like a Canon S95 on the outside, the differences on the inside see it as quite a different model. For a true high-end premium compact you'd be better to look elsewhe...

  • Approachable/Easy to use, Bright, vivid, appealing photos, Excellent LCD,
  • Small sensor limits image quality, No RAW, No display, ISO, or WB controls
  • Because of the way the P300 is marketed, we’re tempted to really just lay into it with nary a positive word. As we’ve thoroughly stated by now, the Nikon COOLPIX P300 is no Canon PowerShot S95 contender, no competition for the Olympus XZ-1, and not in ...

  • On paper the Nikon Coolpix P300 beats its main rivals in most key areas - more megapixels, bigger LCD screen, faster continuous shooting, higher quality video - but the lack of RAW mode, physically smaller sensor and some questionable design decisions...
