Western Digital has done a great job giving the My Passport Studio a makeover, while upping the capacity to 1TB. The drive looks very nice and even with a Scorpio Blue inside, it still delivers respectable 83.2MB/s reads and 73.4MB/s writes over FireW...
The WD My Passport Studio features all-metal scratch-resistant housing and supports FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 connections. The drive offers very good performance.
The My Passport Studio is comparatively expensive and doesn't have USB 3.0.
Mac users who need a fast portable hard drive will find it in the new My Passport Studio. Windows users should look elsewhere for a better deal.
