  • Good video performance, excellent colour reproduction, USB photo slide show, good price tag
  • Image quality problems, over-sharpening, overly bright, unattractive design The Final Word The PJ358 doesnt have the best performance on the market but it remains a fairly good projector considering its price tag.

  • Very light, two feet for stability, solid carry case, good interpolated resolutions up to 1600 x 1200, wide zoom, simple menu system
  • Cheap-looking remote, cheap styling overall, no DVI input, wider than average, expensive compared to the competition

  • Fast startup and shutdown, range of effective settings for improving quality, large display with short throw lens, HD up to 1080i
  • Poor contrast ratio, video playback only really possible in dark environments, better suited for occasional use
  • You can’t expect high-end performance in this sort of price range, but despite the PJ358’s faults you still get some pretty good video images in the right environment and as a carry-around solution for occasional use it works well
