  • Play the originals as you remember them but with slightly better graphics. A free booklet and CD comes with the limited edition version.
  • A bit expensive.

  • Super Mario All-Stars is literally the same exact game that was released on the SNES in 1993, for better or for worse, so unless you are a serious collector, there isn’t much incentive to upgrade your copy to the Wii version. That aside, the four games...

  • Abstract:  Would you believe that the original Super Mario Bros. release is a quarter of a century old? Yes, in 1985, Nintendo released Super Mario Bros. for the Famicom (as the NES was known in Japan). While technically not his first game (that honor goes to Don...

  • Abstract:  There are some games which are legends, untouchable bits of greatness. These are the games which, no matter how many times they may get rereleased to new systems, made playable as DLC, updated, tweaked, etc. you just know that you're going to buy them...

  • These are some of the greatest games of all time; you can have multiple saves for each game; Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels' continue system is a bit more newbfriendly than its Virtual Console iteration.
  • You can buy all four games on the Virtual Console for less; Super Mario Bros. and Lost Levels don't control quite as impeccably as they do on the Virtual Console; a true Mario compilation would have included his other nonWii platformers and had a more robust selection of bonus material.

  • Abstract:  The idea of Nintendo creating a compilation of Mario games to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. is exciting. Surely the company has vaults filled with memorabilia, fascinating documents and stories, and thoughts from the creators of...

  • Abstract:  Looking back on this year, it is easy to come to the conclusion that 2010 belonged to Mario. With Mario Galaxy 2 starting out the year, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem carrying us through the holiday buying season, fans of Nintendo's most u...

  • Four of the greatest games in history, presented in an upgraded format not available on the Virtual Console, at a bargain price… is that worth your money? All four of these games are already available for less cash, albeit in a more primitive graphical...
