  • Open world with ability to do as you please in the Caribbean. Wii exclusive minigames are fun additions.
  • Minigames can get repetitive. Manual was a waste of paper, with no useful info about the game.

  • Outstanding port with new customization and great controls,
  • No real voice acting.
  • 2K Games and Firaxis Games have brought us Sid Meier’s Pirates! for the Nintendo Wii. This port of the successful PC game that was launched in 2004 brings some new additions, such as additional customization as well as some new mini-games. Does Sid M...

  • Abstract:  There is no question Sid Meier’s Pirates! was an excellent game. With the original released in 1987 and the its remake hitting the shelves in 2004, the original Pirates! came out before genre for video games had really settled down, creating the kind o...

  • Impressive freedom to play how you want to play, Wiiexclusive bombardment and lockpicking minigames are good additions, Ship combat is tactical and enjoyable.
  • Minigames get old quickly, Unresponsive controls hamper dancing and swordfighting minigames, Some grainy visuals and performance issues, Flimsy manual and poor tutorial for a game with so much complexity.
  • Control issues and other frustrations make this a very disappointing version of the classic game of adventure on the high seas....

  • It has pirates – and who doesn’t love pirates? Well presented and the Wii does a good job of recreating six-year-old graphics.
  • The motion controls just don’t work the way they should. Just let me use my Classic Controller please…please!
