  • Abstract:  I used to think a 55″ TV was massive but after buying a home with a two story great room, I could see why many people are choosing larger and larger TVs. They just have to fit the space. A 42″ or 46″ TV would feel too small in that space. I used to think ...

  • Abstract:  “Hi TV, power on,” I say, as if talking to myself. As if wishing aloud that I had telekinesis. I'm alone in TechnoBuffalo's gaming room, staring blankly at my reflection on the TV set. I wait as it warms up and flickers on.Even after a few days of fiddlin...

  • Icing on the cake… even when there is a lot of junk in front of the TV, the remote still worksThe Samsung ES8000 Series is very attractive because of its striking design and large set of seemingly very advanced features, but after using it for a couple of...

  • Abstract:  This is Samsung's latest Smart TV, the UN55ES8000F. A, B, C, D, and E were killed in a tragic skydiving accident... just kidding! This is a rather large upgrade in terms of both the hardware and software. The last couple iterations of Samsung Smart TVs...

  • Brilliant, bright picture, Excellent black levels, Superb color accuracy, Gorgeous design, Upgradable hardware
  • Some light bleed from edges, Poor off-axis performance, Merciless with low-quality sources
  • Even though Samsung's Smart Interaction is ahead of its time – and, frankly, might never catch on – there is plenty here in the way of performance and features to qualify this high-end television's equally premium price. If you want the best, you'll hav...

  • The beautifully thin Samsung UNES8000 LED TV seems to have come from a year or two in the future. Its massive feature set includes a touch-pad remote, IR blaster, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart TV
  • Lighter black levels and imperfect screen uniformity hamper its picture significantly, especially for such an expensive TV. Samsung charges too much for extra features that are largely unnecessary and poorly implemented
  • Although it hits plenty of high points, the Samsung UNES8000 LED TV cannot ultimately justify its high price.

  • Samsung’s ES8000 is a worthy update to its predecessor, and the company demonstrates its edge over much of the competition with the Smart TV functionality. Is it worth the humongous RRP? That’s a null point, given retailers are already discounting it ...

  • We're back to the original question: What do you want from your next HDTV? How much do you want it to do? If all you care about is video performance, then you can find other TVs that offer comparable, if not better, all-around performance at a lower price...

  • Sensational, slimline design; very good 2D and 3D pictures; excellent Smart services,
  • Gesture system is currently very hard work; provided picture presets are unhelpful; backlight bleed possible unless output is low
