  • Wacky animations, new skills and dice actions (that require new strategies), multiplayer and online multiplayer mode, ability to save game progress and you can play the classic game.
  • Story is a little out there. Computer will most often win at regular Risk.

  • Abstract:  Taking all the great game elements from the original board game and enhancing them and adding online play makes Risk: Factions a wonderful Xbox LIVE Arcade title. The game of Risk is a true game of luck and strategy. As MC Gutterpants tells you right from the beginning..

  • Abstract:  To many, Risk is a classic, beloved board game. To me, it's kind of those things. I can see the appeal -- and recognize its greatness, even -- but I'm pretty open about my inability to sit down and play the game for any extended period of time. With t...

  • Abstract:  After Hasbro Family Game Night was released, gamers began to wonder what classic board games they'd like to see brought over to the Xbox Live Arcade. To many, there was really only one possibility: Risk. The game of global domination had seen a handful...

  • Abstract:  RISK: Factions brings the classic board game to XBLA with most of the bells and whistles intact, including online multiplayer with four other people to play with. Besides multiplayer, the game incorporates a new play style called Command Room (using th...

  • Abstract:  Like the family board game that serves as its inspiration, Risk: Factions is all about rolling dice. Even though developer Stainless Games has freshened up this dining-room classic with kid-friendly armies and a handful of gimmicks geared to speed up p...

  • Faithful adaptation of classic Risk gameplay with some twists, Cheerful, cartoonish personality with the likes of cat, zombie, and yeti armies.
  • Short singleplayer campaign, Factions mode is a little gimmicky and too similar to classic Risk, As with the original Risk, matches often hinge on dice rolls, Cakewalk AI.
  • Cartoonish graphics and a smart sense of humor give Risk: Factions some life, although play remains awfully close to the shallow, dice-dependent board game....

  • Abstract:  As an Xbox 360 exclusive (at the time of this writing), RISK: Factions is a fantastic addition to the small library of board games found on Xbox Live Arcade. While not as thorough as Catan or as casual as Hasbro Family Game Night, RISK: Factions offers...

  • Abstract:  I tend to enjoy board games most in video game form. Titles like Carcassonne or Catan take the busywork out of setting up a complicated game. Risk: Factions isn't content to be a mere "port" of the classic board game. Instead, it riffs on a complex gam...

  • Abstract:  No it’s not regular RISK (but it is, read on), this is full of extras, like animations and nudity, according to Gen. McGutterpants (I doubt there’s actual nudity in the game). It’s also full of factions that, unlike the original board game, impart some...
