  • Abstract:  Some four years after Treasure's Masato Maegawa hinted at a re-release of one of the finest shoot-'em-ups ever to grace the world, Radiant Silvergun is finally available on Xbox Live Arcade for a fraction of what the Saturn game used to go for on eBa...

  • Interesting weapon upgrade system, Persistent stats offer rewarding growth, Solid controls give you complete command of your ship, Seven weapons offer lots of strategic diversity.
  • Incredibly difficult for newcomers, Grinding to become more powerful is tedious.
  • Radiant Silvergun proves that great core mechanics stand the test of time, though its severe difficulty could derail the unprepared....

  • Challenging, thoughtful arcade shooter; surprisingly lengthy; fantastic soundtrack; very different from many titles in the genre available on XBLA; costs considerably less than the Saturn original.
  • Slower, deliberatelypaced puzzlelike gameplay might turn some off; somewhat daunting level of difficulty requires a lot of practice and restarts.

  • Abstract:  I’ve always been a big shooter fan myself, and once upon a time I often browsed through eBay, hoping for the day some moron would mistakenly list his copy as “Radiant Silvergub” and I could finally play this legendary game. And now, after ten years of ...

  • Radiant Silvergun has a lot to offer: you can play it like a manic shooter and enjoy the weapons and skillful dodging, or you can make it more cerebral and go for the ridiculous color combos. Either way, you're getting one of the very best 2D shooters ...

  • Abstract:  It's not often that you have to wait eleven years to play a video game, and before you get ahead of yourself, no, this isn't a review of Duke Nukem Forever. Developed by Treasure, masters of the shooter and sidescroller genres: Radiant Silvergun was first...
