  • Abstract:  PES 2009 is an improvement over last year’s game, albeit a very minor one. If the PES franchise wants to stay competitive against FIFA, they certainly have their work cutout for them.

  • Abstract:  UK REVIEW--Although Pro Evolution Soccer fans bought last years game in droves, it was unfortunately an all-time low for the series on the Xbox 360. Poor graphics, dreadful presentation, and basic online play failed to make the most of the hardware, a...

  • Simple, easytopickup gameplay, Champions League license with official teams and sponsors, New fourplayer online mode.
  • Lack of improvement to core gameplay, Dated animation system looks stilted, Impoverished and laggy online play, Poor presentation and commentary.
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is an improvement on last years game, but this is a series that desperately needs a complete overhaul. ...

  • Pretty impressive "Be A Legend" mode, it’s got the Champions League license
  • Plays a terrible game of football, transfers way out of date, barely any different from last year’s poor effort
  • Ignore all these critics still giving PES09 a reasonably higher score because it "feels like Pro Evo". Unless they completely change the series, EA will be kings of the football genre for a long long time...

  • PES fans will still like it, Still offers a good game of football, Be A Legend mode offers something different, Customisation and editing are bigger and better than ever
  • Become A Legend mode lacks features, No voice comms on Legend Online, UEFA Champions League inclusion adds nothing, Still feels and looks like Pro Evo of old.
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 (PES 09) XBOX 360In Stock: £27.99 (RRP £49.99) Still, I can’t help but feel that PES 2009 is another lazy effort from Konami. The inclusion of the Champions League mode appears to be nothing more than a big advertisement fo...

  • Superb in-game visuals. Realistic ball physics. Still a great technical title for real fans.
  • Boring career mode. Horrible commentary. Scoring goals is too hard.
