  • Sometimes you dont have to pay top dollar for an excellent product. Few companies can keep up with OCZ as they continue to flood the market with affordable, high performance memory that demands mass appeal. The Platinum DDR3-2000 kit serves up a del...

  • Very balanced memory!, Still plenty of headroom above 1800 MHz, Over Voltage Protection up to 2.05V, Runs very well at CL55512, Lifetime warranty, Heatspreaders look great
  • Pricey, No benefit over DDR2 at low frequencies, Requires boards capable of high FSB, Did not manage 2000 MHz even at relaxed CL ratings.
  • OCZ has created some great memory modules once again. While DDR3 is still very new on the market, the new CPUs with higher FSB take advantage of the higher frequencies possible with DDR3. The PC3-14400 Platinum Kit is perfectly balanced, so you will be...

  • There is no denying that DDR3 memory technology has made a significant amount of headway in such a short period of time. It was not that long ago when 1333MHz seemed like a big deal, then 1500MHz memory was announced followed by 1600MHz memory. At the ...

  • OCZ has always been one of the forerunners for producing the really high end modules out there. Its no surprise then that they would be one of the early companies to offer 1800MHz DDR3, and I was very pleased that the OCZ DDR3-1800 modules ran at 18...

  • Abstract:  DDR3 memory has been picking up the pace rather quickly. Corsair and OCZ are the first to offer DDR3-1800 DIMMs, with both doing battle for your performance-minded dollars. Which is the better product for the uber enthusiast?

  • Significantly accelerates video rendering versus DDR2 memory; slick, platinum-colored heat sinks; low latency; stable at very high speeds
  • DDR3s speedup only evident in CPU- and memory-intensive applications; extremely expensive
  • OCZs lightning-fast DDR3 RAM runs at record speeds, but the speedup in day-to-day tasks and games doesnt warrant the current stratospheric price....

  • When Kingston introduced the first real low-latency DDR3 we were impressed with the ability of the memory to reach DDR3-1500 at 7-7-7 timings at a reasonable low voltage. Many enthusiasts were also impressed with DDR3-1500 at 7-7-7 timings, as they sho...

  • OCZ and Kingston use Micron Z9 chips for their DDR3-1800 and both are designed to use timings of 8-8-8-24 so in each of our tests the two products perform at a similar level. There are minor variances throughout but neither set of sticks are easy to r...
