  • Compact analog TV tuner; comes with EyeTV 2 software; bus-powered; can export to video iPod; remote included.
  • Requires dual processor Mac to encode at highest level of quality.
  • Miglia’s TVMicro is a great portable analog TV tuner for Mac users. If you want something to let you watch TV on your Mac, you won’t go wrong with it. If you want to record TV shows, you’ll need a dual processor Mac to get the best quali...

  • Abstract:  If tiny is in, Miglia Technology’s US$99 TVMicro is bound to be a hit. Though the “cool white” device is barely the size of an iPod shuffle, you can use it to watch and record analog TV on your Mac. Heck, it can record TV straight to you...

  • Small and compact; TV can be viewed in a window, full screen, or in the Dock; remote control; integrated access to TV guide for scheduling recordings
  • Attribution of channel names and programme listings isn’t automatic; doesn’t support stereo; antenna not included; analogue TV only so only five channels
  • TVMicro is an analogue-only solution. For £30 more, Miglia’s TVMini offers access to digital channels –with Freeview, that’s 30 TV channels. TVMini also has its own portable antenna. Given the relatively small price difference, if you c...

  • Easy to set up; highly portable; excellent EyeTV 2 software.
  • Only has an RF connector; needs a powerful Mac.
  • If you’re a Mac-owning couch potato who wants an easy-to-use TV tuner and recording solution, the Miglia TVMicro is well worth a look. Just make sure you’ve got a fairly powerful Mac (at least a Core Duo Mac mini or dual-processor PowerMac) if...
