  • Thoughtful, nuanced level and system design support malleable play styles in the most compelling ninja simulator to date.
  • Not a comfortable fit for a keyboard (a controller is strongly recommended).
  • Mark of the Ninja's distillation of the stealth genre's best ideas onto a shadowy 2D sandbox draws the definitive high-water mark for conscientious stealth design this generation. 1 of 6 Mark of the Ninja View the full image Welcome to the land of ...

  • Abstract:  As someone who employs a methodical, patient approach in my video games, I took a shine to the stealth genre right away. The concept has been around since the early days of gaming, but it properly came into its own when Metal Gear Solid, Tenchu: Steal...

  • Abstract:  I’m not as familiar with developer Klei Entertainment’s previous work as I probably should be, but having played through Mark of the Ninja for this review, I’m certainly more than willing to backtrack through some of their previous releases. Mark of th...

  • Abstract:  If PAX Prime 2012 had a yearbook, under "Most Popular" would read this week's XBLA release Mark of the Ninja. It's rare that I'm interested in a game so well liked that I have to throw elbows just to check out a demo, but there I was last weekend, sh...

  • Abstract:  Oh, Klei Entertainment, you sneaky devils. First you get our blood rising with not one but two macho Contra-style action games, Shank and Shank 2. Then, just when you think you'll go all bad-ass with another straightforward action game, you instead put to...

  • Mark Of The Ninja rewards stealth with points. It doesn't matter if you kill all the enemies or sneak by without killing a single one. Just do it without being detected and you get points,
  • The game starts off easy, a little jumping here, climbing over there, pushing doors and some hiding. But thankfully, that is not all the game is.
  • Mark Of The Ninja is one interesting game, it requires a certain amount of planning, timing and skill but at the same time does not feel hyper intense....
