  • Sleek, minimal design. Large screen. MicroSD slot for storage expansion. Supports several audio, video, and photo file types. Includes voice and FM recorder.
  • Touch screen requires stylus for optimal performance. Large for a low-capacity player. No Web access.
  • The iriver P7 is all about "buts": Its the size of a hard disk-based media player, but is slim on built-in memory, and theres no Web access. And the sprawling 4.3-inch screen is great for movies, but youll need a stylus for navigation....

  • The Iriver P7 is a gorgeous portable video player that packs in music, movies, photos, radio, voice recording, and a text reader.
  • For a PVP, the P7 is relatively inflexible when it comes to video format support, the touch-screen response is sluggish, and the included PC software is nearly useless.
  • The Iriver P7 is like a beautifully crafted concept car with a frustrating lack of horsepower, but the price is compelling.

  • Hands up who’s had enough of circular wheel interfaces? iRiver turns over a new page with the P7’s ‘magazine’ menu system, plonking the player’s various functions in boxy compartments on a spacious 4.3-inch display. In fact...
  • If the P7 looks like it belongs in a designer salon, it acts like it was trained in a Supercuts. Everything about its performance is slow, annoying and confusing. Playback hacks away at various formats, missing key systems like AAC and requiring lengthy c...
