  • Great overall performance, Gorgeous Gunmetal  Design, Great Keyboard, Stellar Multimedia Playback, Rugged + Lightweight
  • Pricey at around $1700, So-so Battery Life, Lackluster LCD, Runs Very Warm
  • HP has a real winner on its hands here, by most accounts. We are not certain if the company intentionally designed this machine to be a killer crossover between consumer notebooks and mobile workstations, but that's exactly what was delivered. The 14" for...

  • Fast and powerful, Looks nice and well made, Runs fairly cool, Decent security features included, Lots of expansion ports
  • Battery life not the greatest, Lots of stuff running in the background slows things down a little, Webcam is a bit washed out
  • There’s no doubt the HP EliteBook 8440w is a powerhouse of a laptop, it’s got a many great features for business, but I think even regular users will appreciate them as well. The 8440W looks nice, it’s heavy, but not very really, I expected it to be he...

  • Great looks for a business machine, excellent general performance, great graphics performance, excellent balance of features
  • 4GB of RAM is wasted in a 32-bit OS; some minor issues with my review unit

  • Fast Core i7 processor. Over 7 hours of battery life. Tough as nails. Fully-loaded feature set. Great resolution on 14-inch widescreen. Workstation graphics. 3-year warranty included.
  • Pointing stick is stiff. Pre-configured models lack flexibility.
  • The HP EliteBook 8440w is built to withstand physical abuse and runs on parts that are meaner and longer-running than its rivals...
