  • Good sound for size and price, Attractive design and aesthetic, Versatile features (AuxIn),
  • Slightly shoddy construction and build, Mild distortion at peak volumes

  • Excellent sound, Shielded so that interference from phones and such is negligible
  • Right satellite and main audio cable is hardwired
  • The Hercules 2.1 50 2.1 speaker set is an excellent setup for both games and music. The stylish satellites are attractive and useful. Theyre magnetically shielded-traffic from my phone did not generate static noise when it was placed near the satelli...

  • Very affordable. Attractive design. Decent audio quality at moderate volume levels.
  • Subwoofer not very powerful; distorts. Right-hand speaker is hardwired to sub. No remote.
  • The XPS 2.1 50 is certainly affordable for a system with a subwoofer, but Hercules has made better-sounding speakers—for exactly the same price....

  • Seem well made, Decent sound overall, Inexpensive, Good bass
  • Highs not very pronounced, Additional Cost Must buy adapters for certain configurations, Cords are a bit short
  • The Hercules XPS 2.1 50 2.1 Speaker Kit is not a bad product, especially if you consider they can be had for around $50, for that price they deliver decent sound. For me personally they just don’t cut it, they sound a bit flat to my ears, there&rsqu...

  • The XPS 50 2.1 system really has much to offer at the price point, which says a lot. The subwoofer power output is well matched to the satellite and this speaker system really has quite a bit of bass power and overall volume for the size. During testi...

  • Abstract:  The name Hercules comes with certain expectations. Personally, I think of two things: shiny, bare-chested, overdubbed dudes and this giant pinball machine at Cedar Point with a pool ball for a pinball. It’s kind of a negative connotation, now that I ...

  • It seems Hercules is aiming itself towards the budget end of the market these days, which might prove to be a cunning move with all the financial troubles facing the world. However, it’s unfortunate that so many systems are given fluffy woofers inste...

  • Abstract:  Hercules XPS 2.1 50 speakers look better than most of the budget 2.1 speaker sets weve seen. We like the glossy black satellites, and especially the orange light surrounding the volume knob on the right satellite. The headphone and line-in sockets...
