Abstract: Other camera companies may deny it, but GoPro created the action-cam market. With so many competent knockoffs out there now, the onus is on GoPro to prove its action cams still rule the roost. And the California-based company hopes to prove that with its ...

Best video quality we've seen on an action camera. Versatile shooting modes. Capable of shooting 4K.
Expensive. Battery drains quickly with Wi-Fi enabled. Poor still photo quality. Menu is still frustrating to navigate
GoPro's Hero3+ Black Edition shoots the best 1080p footage we've seen on an action camera....
Superior video quality, Lots of shooting options, Wide variety of mounts, Sturdy build
Soso battery life, May produce blurry distance shots
Reviewers consistently agree that the GoPro HD Hero3+ Black Edition simply offers the best video performance it's possible to get from an action camera. It's versatile, too, with lots of shooting and mounting options, and its sturdy construction stands up...
The GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition produces some of the best -- if not the best -- video we've seen from an action cam. Its abundant resolution and frame rate options will satisfy beginners and experienced shooters
Navigating the on-camera settings menus still isn't the best experience. Battery life can be brief depending on the features you're using. Plan to buy accessories including a microSD card

Abstract: This has to be one of my all time favourite action cameras. The WIFI connection paired to the GoPro App provided a live view of what the camera sees. The GoPro App also provides full control over all the camera settings which made it much easier to access...
No built in preview screen, Case can be fiddly to use, Menu takes time to navigate
The GoPro Hero 3+ is by no means the leap that we saw from the GoPro 2 to the GoPro Hero3. While users of the GoPro 1 and 2 will see a massive improvement in usability, there are only a few small adjustments to the actual camera from the Hero3 Black Edit...
Smaller waterproof casing, with buttons that are easier to press. More mounting options than ever. Improved auto white balance, with the option to adjust it yourself. Fast Wi-Fi. Improved sound recording
4K recording is only at 15p. Waterproof casing latch can be hard to open
Though the updates might seem minor on paper, the GoPro Hero3+ is most definitely more than the sum of its parts, proving that it's still the king of action cameras....
