Immense complexity, colorful and differing races, vast amounts of customizable gameplay, the ability to give your leader a silly and embarrassing name. Up to date graphics that improve over previous titles.
Story is a bit tired, target audience is very specific, can be too much for some players.
After so many iterations its impressive that Stardock has maintained their standard of quality in this series. If youre a fan, pick it up. If you like the genre, pick it up. If youre on more of a Total War speed, let this one go.
