  • Abstract:  Although GalCiv2 didn’t necessarily need it, Twilight of the Arnor brings to the table more additional content and upgrades than most true sequels. The already engrossing and addictive franchise gets a top-to-bottom overhaul, including new graphics, co...

  • Immense complexity, colorful and differing races, vast amounts of customizable gameplay, the ability to give your leader a silly and embarrassing name. Up to date graphics that improve over previous titles.
  • Story is a bit tired, target audience is very specific, can be too much for some players.
  • After so many iterations its impressive that Stardock has maintained their standard of quality in this series. If youre a fan, pick it up. If you like the genre, pick it up. If youre on more of a Total War speed, let this one go.

  • Abstract:  A lenient appraiser might declare my Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor regime "opportunistic," but glass-half-empty types would probably peg it as downright schizophrenic. My rise to power saw radical shifts in ethics and governance that...

  • Unique tech trees; unique planetary improvements; ascension; technology detail screens; better AI; game editors.
  • Terror stars difficult to plan around; cheesy storyline; still no true multiplayer.
  • Brad Wardell and his Stardock team had an impossible challenge when they decided to create a second expansion pack for Galactic Civilizations II. Dark Avatar, the games first expansion, was everything an expansion pack should be, adding an insane amou...

  • Abstract:  It's not enough that Stardock gives us one of the best slabs of 4X strategy goodness in the form of . It's not enough that they already put out and the expansion, with a tech tree that makes a sequoia look like a shrub and an array of bi...

  • Abstract:  Stardock has had quite a 2008 thus far with the release of Sins of a Solar Empire, a game that has immediately established itself as a serious contender for strategy awards at the end of the year. And Stardock isnt waiting very long to unleash its nex...
