  • The Vado HD 3rd Gen is about as small and light as pocket camcorders come, and is far more of a true pocketable mini camcorder than the Flip Ultra HD, which is an office favourite here at bit-tech. Unfortunately, this has lead to sacrifices in storage cap...

  • Superior low-light performance, Wide-angle lens, Slender and lightweight, Manual exposure control, Inexpensive
  • Unnaturally tinted colors, Touch controls less precise than hard buttons, Poor automatic exposure adjustment, Half the memory as competitors, predecessor, No external storage slot, No macro mode, Durability issues with USB arm
  • A handful of updates make Creative’s fresh 720p shooter a better value, but image quality still largely lags behind leaders like Kodak and Flip....

  • No removable storage
  • The third-generation Vado HD has the widest-angle lens of any HD pocket camcorder, as well as exposure controls, great low-light video quality, and a sub-$200 price. ...

  • Compact body. Good low light performance. Headphone output/mic input jack. HDMI cable included.
  • Limited 4GB memory and no SD slot for expansion. 2x digital zoom. No 1080p support. Poor-quality still image capture.
  • Creative's latest Vado HD makes some improvements over its predecessor, but not enough to make it stand out in the increasingly crowded pocket camcorder pack....

  • Compact stylish design; 2-inch LCD; responsive buttons; easy to use; charges through USB port; HDMI output; compatible with both OS X and Windows; supports optional external mic
  • Software will only run if the device is attached, no SD card slot, no bundled carrying case
  • Though the Creative Vado HD 3rd Gen doesn't do quite enough to distinguish itself from the competition, it does offer some nice improvements over earlier Vado HD models that keep it relevant in the pocket camcorder space. Read full review

  • If you don’t intend to put your camcorder through rigorous extremes, the Creative Vado HD is probably the candybar camcorder to choose. In particular, we loved its exposure control settings, wide-angle lens and ability to cope low-light levels. Tim Mo...
