  •  Corpse Party is a title that feels like it will be hit or miss for gamers. Those who can may prefer to pick up the PlayStation Portable version, as it is honestly a bit creepier overall than this PC port, but those who can't, or those who want some of t...

  • Abstract:  Horror is an interesting genre when it comes to video games. Outside of Silent Hill, and Amnesia, there have not been many successful titles that provide gamers with scares. So it's with great surprise that I found XSeed's Corpse Party, an adventure ga...

  • Abstract:  It's a shame that the humble visual novel so rarely sees a release outside of Japan. Games like those in the Ace Attorney series have helped generate interest out here in the west, but they are still far from commonplace. However, companies like XSEE...

  • Abstract:  PSPIt's been almost fifteen years since Corpse Party first debuted in Japan. Most in America probably haven't even heard of it until only recently, but make no mistake, this little Japanese title is no joke. If horror is what you're looking for, then C...

  • The story can be genuinely scary. There are also quite a few random hilarious moments. CG shots are detailed and disturbing. Can collect nametags from dead students. Japanese voice acting is good and the overall audio and music is very creepy. Calls back to old SNES style adventure games. The translation is really well done. It’s a really substantial game and will take a week to complete. Lots o
  • Only available as a download. There’s no skip function to fast forward through seen text. Can only save at save candles. Almost all puzzles are really easy to solve. Graphic descriptions of gruesome scenes may be too much for some people

  • When the curtain closed on the five-chapter story of Corpse Party, I sat motionlessly in my chair and considered the last 10 hours I spent exploring the halls of Heavenly Host Elementary.Lamentations over wasted time come easily when you consider the u...

  • Abstract:  In a season riddled with life-changing mega-sequels, Corpse Party couldn't have arrived at a worse time -- especially on a platform so ravaged by the deadly tag team of piracy and disinterest. With its distinctly fan-made presentation and digital-only ...

  • Abstract:  With so much gore and violence in movies and video games today it's no surprise many of us are desensitized to it all. You can only see so many beheadings, mutilations, and torture before you look at the screen and declare it all "meh". Many of the gam...

  • Engaging story with plenty of twists and surprises, Offers genuine, unsettling scares, Rewarding even when you die or make mistakes, Nice audio cues and voice work.
  • Easy to get lost in certain areas, Having to restart a scenario takes too long.
