  • Unique app-based hearing test is used to program the headphones with EQ tailored to your hearing profile, Sound quality is quite good at 50-percent strength and ANC on, Slim case is easy to pack in carry-on luggage, BT-01 Bluetooth transceiver available t
  • Sound is very dull without EQ, With EQ and no ANC, bass is a bit loose and tubby, Not all that comfortable for extended wear
  • The idea behind the Audeara A-01 is excellent—measure the user's hearing profile and adjust the headphone's EQ to compensate for any deficits. In its current iteration, however, it falls a little short. In particular, the audiogram I obtained did not matc...

  • Adjustable audio based on in-app test that creates a personal hearing profile, Comfortable,
  • Default sound signature lacks balance, Noise cancellation is merely decent
  • The Audeara A-01 Bluetooth headphones feature noise cancellation and connect to an app that adjusts to your own personal hearing profile, but there are better-sounding options out there for the price...

  • Build and aesthetic quality – solid, sturdy, clean, Sound quality – clean and clear (w/ & w/o ANC), Custom sound profile based on your own hearing, Rechargeable battery and its running time
  • Hearing test app is glitchy, Volume and multi-function buttons are really small, Edges on each side of the sizing adjustment are a little sharp
  • I'm really happy with these headphones. They're not cheap, but they're sitting in the same price zone as all the major players with some killer features that make them stand out. I have had multiple generations of Bose QCs over the years. I can confidentl...

  • Very easy to use and setup, Decently comfortable, App has features some may find very useful, Good reception and good call quality, Great battery life
  • Design isn't spectacular looking, sort of bland, The ear tuning experience might be a hit or miss with some users, Pricey for what you get but currently $100 cheaper on Amazon
  • These headphones sound great without the software/app and with the software/app, they sound slightly better when setting the experience to 25%. When I set the experience to 100% I felt the sound was really not impressive at all. The design is not all that...

  • Fantastic battery life, Excellent wearing comfort, Good build quality, Interesting and potentially useful concept with the hearing test and a personalized sound profile, Great hard-shell carrying case, Microphone can be used both in wireless and wired mod
  • Sound quality doesn't quite match the price, Can't be folded, Tiny buttons and switches, No aptX HD or LDAC Bluetooth codec support, Mediocre active noise canceling, Competition offers better sound quality and ANC for less money
  • The Audeara A-01 can be bought online for $400/€330. Fantastic battery life Excellent wearing comfort Good build quality Interesting and potentially useful concept with the hearing test and a personalized sound profile Great hard-shell carrying case Micro...

  • I normally wouldn't recommend an MSRP ~$400 headphone with any shortcomings to anyone. The A-01 makes me break that rule. But they're not for just anyone. Audeara's headphones cater to two very specific groups: audiophiles with some degree of hearing loss...

  • Abstract:  There's no such thing as good-sounding headphones – only headphones that match the ears that are listening to them. Audeara's A-01 headphones use clinically-approved hearing response tests to adjust to every ear for incredible clarity and detail, but the...
