  • AT&T offers a small base station calle a MicroCell , which is supposed to boost your network connection at your home. In testing, we found that the AT&T MicroCell is nice, but we wouldn't pay for one. When AT&T offered to give me a free 3G MicroCell, I t...

  • Improves call quality and signal strength. Easy to set up. Works seamlessly.
  • Ugly. GPS needs window access or external antenna. Dependent on your broadband network. Uses phoneplan minutes unless you opt for feebased unlimited plan.

  • Can improve cell phone service depending on layout of home and home network
  • Pricey, Service improvement isn't always consistent
  • The AT&T 3G MicroCell largely (but not 100 percent reliably) delivers on its promise of excellent 3G coverage indoors, if you're willing to pay. ...
