  • The Z77 Extreme6 motherboard from ASRock comes with a nice looking cooling system, which barely gets warm during load and has enough space between PCI-Express x16 slots for installing Crossfire or SLI setups with multi-slot cooling systems. As the pre...

  • Abstract:  ASRock are not afraid of the legacy connections. Not merely content on having both a floppy drive header and an IDE connector on the Fatal1ty Z77 Professional, they have also put a floppy header on the Z77 Extreme6. There is reason for this, given ...

  • Well laid out, Easy-to-understand BIOS, Achieved a very nice overclock, Tons of connectivity & expandability, Included USB 3.0 5.25” bay bracket is a nice addition
  • Could have used one more USB 3.0 motherboard header, Board labelling (especially RAM slots) could be better, UEFI has tons of options, yet no explanation, ⅔ pieces of the included software intrusive, despite being functional
  • The ASRock Z77 Extreme6 is definitely a nice looking board. The dark brown PCB complemented with golds, silvers and blacks looks stellar, and if aesthetics are important to you, then this is definitely a good choice to be visible through a case window....

  • Abstract:  Officially launched at the beginning of April, the Z77 chipset represents an original departure for Intel, if only in terms of strategy. First of all there’s the question of the socket and compatibility with processors. For once, Intel has played the ...

  • Clean layout, Feature-packed BIOS, Excellent performance, Legacy ports provide extended backwards compatibility
  • Only one front USB 3.0 header, Overall number of USB ports is low, No second gigabit Ethernet adapter
  • From the word go, the installation process of this board was very smooth. There were no weird issues with cable placement, nor did I have to do any special voodoo to get the RAM working. Clearances were good all around, especially around the CPU socke...

  • What sets this board apart from the flock is its over-clocking and the bundled goodies. The software bundle is better than most offerings and more useful as well. It over-clocks well and at US$175 it won't break the bank either. If you are looking towards...

  • The Asrock Extreme6 is designed and aimed to the individual looking for something better than average but not quite super high end. The motherboard provides a lot of the look that we loved in the X79 Extreme9 which targets people looking for everythin...
