  • The latest generation of MacBook Pro laptops represents a solid advance to a line-up that has proved to be popular among Mac buyers -- and with good reason. They're well-designed, solid, reliable, feature-rich and offer a measure of cutting-edge techn...

  • Quad-core Core i7 processor is a first. AMD Radeon HD 6750M is a powerful GPU and works with Apple's Automatic Graphics Switching technology. Gorgeous unibody enclosure. Thunderbolt is in its early stages, but it looks promising. Webcam now streams in HD and works with Facetime app. Backlit keyboard. Multiple screen options. Glass Clickpad has no equals.
  • Pricey. Lack of Thunderbolt devices to take advantage of the new interface.
  • The Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch (Thunderbolt) is the fastest, most technologically advanced laptop to grace our Labs benches. Buy it now...

  • Overall, the Apple MacBook Pro (MC371LL/A) is a great 15-inch notebook that combines the power of an Intel Core i5 with the functionality of a Mac OS. If you feel like you need even more power and capacity, then consider stepping up to the Core i7 mode...

  • Abstract:  Apple’s latest batch of 15″ and 17″ MacBook Pros step up from the Core 2 Duo processors in favor of Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processors. The new 15″ MacBook Pro is currently the only model available with an Intel Core i7 processor – and it is wicked fas...

  • Abstract:  This laptop would do especially well when being used away from a power source for extended periods of time. It’s combination of an easy-to-use interface, a powerful processor, great battery life and nice ergonomics earn it a Reviwer’s Choice designation for this review.

  • Great overall performance, Excellent battery life, Elegant design, Sturdy "unibody" design, Multi-touch gesture trackpad, Great Keyboard, Robust iLife apps included
  • Expensive, Battery is not removable, Glossy screen susceptible to reflections, Must purchase adapter cable for VGA, DVI, or HDMI out
  • That excellent battery life also has a trade-off, however, and that comes in the form of a battery that is not removable. For most users this probably won't be an issue; but for those who spend more time on the road than at a desk, this issue could prove...

  • Abstract:  The newest MacBook Pros stand up for themselves, as eWEEK Labs found when it spent some time with Apple's newest notebooks. The 15-inch and 17-inch models, which offer a choice between Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors and automatic switching of graphi...

  • Last year's unibody MacBook Pro update didn't do much for performance, but it did wonders for battery life. The huge increase in battery capacity meant Apple's entire pro line of notebooks could be used on cross-country flights or even during a long day o...

  • The new 15in MacBook Pros leave little to complain about, offering better application performance, better battery life and very similar pricing. The extra £170 for the new low-end system seems like good value when you consider the addition of discrete...
