  • Spectacular display, Slim, attractive body, A terabyte of solid-state storage is a remarkable thing, Seriously, the screen is fantastic
  • You'll pay for the power you need, Doesn't work as a secondary display
  • More times than not, the Verge score is based on the average of the subscores below. However, since this is a non-weighted average, we reserve the right to tweak the overall score if we feel it doesn't reflect our overall assessment and price of the produ...

  • Amazing screen, Solid performance, Solid price point
  • Can't use as external monitor, Only RAM is upgradeable, Very little 4K content

  • Astonishing 5,120x2,880 display, Zippy performance, except for gaming, Nifty Fusion Drive, Superlative software, Fairly priced
  • No video input, Unlike other iMacs, can't be used as a monitor, No front-mounted USB ports, Oh, forget it, just look at that screen
  • Apple brings unbelievable 5K resolution to the all-in-one desktop, lifting photo and 4K video editors to ecstasy and delivering a nearly flawless hardware/software/visual experience. Read More…...

  • Absolutely the best PC display, desktop or otherwise, you can buy. Very reasonable price tag for a 5K machine. Solid performance. Whisperthin unibody design
  • Wish the stand had adjustable height. Rear ports are difficult to reach; plugging in peripherals takes some trial and error. Broadwell processors will likely bring faster processing in an update next year

  • Best-in-class 5K screen offers bright colors, wide viewing angles, Fast performance, Attractive design, Robust audio
  • Expensive compared to other all-in-ones, Can't be used as a secondary display
  • The iMac's 5K Retina display puts it in a class of its own, though with a starting price twice that of rival machines, it's not for everybody. We mainly recommend it for photo and video enthusiasts, especially people who couldn't otherwise justify the co...

  • The new 27-inch Apple iMac adds a stunning 5K display for not much more than last year's high-end model. The design, while not updated, remains the gold standard for all-in-one desktops
  • Except for the new screen and a different GPU, the components are essentially unchanged from last year's version. The high starting price only gets you a mid-level Core i5 processor
  • Apple skips 4K and goes directly to what the company calls a 5K display in this expensive, extravagant all-in-one iMac desktop that will appeal to photo and video professionals -- or anyone else looking for the best possible screen resolution....
