  • There’s very little to dislike with the Altec Lansing Octiv Duo. It’s a solid dual dock system that’s priced competitively for anyone looking to add a speaker system to a small room. It’s also friendly to guests and simple to understand. In additi...

  • Abstract:  As for audio quality, the M202 has great fidelity for its small size. Granted, it’s going to come up short when compared to a 200W 2.1 system or home theater setup, but for a dock about half the height of a Bose system, it packs..

  • Good sound qualityExtra functionality provided by two iOS appsHandy magnetic remote control
  • Music Mix needs a music pickerNo dock adapter for iPhone 4Non-iOS iPods miss out on the extra functionality
  • We gotta say, it's nice to see a refreshing take on iPod speakers -- especially ones with dual docks -- by means of iOS apps. Sure, Music Mix still needs some tweaking, but there's no doubt that Altec Lansing will continue to polish its software for a whi...

  • Charges and plays music for two docked iPods. Free app mixes music from both iPods and lets you choose play time percentages for each. Simple design with a handy cubbyhole for the remote control. Full iPod navigation on remote.
  • Audio quality isn't bad, but distorts at high volumes. Music Mix app won't work for iPod nano or other non-iOS iPods.
  • It may not be an audiophile masterpiece, but the Octiv Mini M202, with its dual docks and free mixing app, may just inspire harmony in your multiple-iPod home. Buy it now...

  • Abstract:  Altec Lansing’s new Octiv Duo is an interesting little stereo system, and not just because, as its name implies, it features twin docks for two iPhones and/or iPods. What makes the product unique is that it’s an app enhanced product – by not one but ...

  • Abstract:  Octiv Duo will either win or lose you pretty quickly with its shape, which looks like an elongated piece of pie that’s roughly 10.7” at its peak of width, 5.25” deep, and 3.6” tall, though each measurement represents a maximum thanks to slanting lines...

  • Dual docks for two iPods or iPhones; compact, elegant design; decent sound for small size; two free apps deliver full alarm clock and dual iPod-mixing functionality; electromagnetically shielded so iPhone can be used without switching to airplane mode; US
  • Take away the iPhone apps and the Octiv Duo is a fairly basic iPod speaker, app doesn't automatically launch when you dock your device, circular remote control takes some getting used to
  • If you're looking for a compact, affordable speaker for your bedside table that charges two iPhone or iPods simultaneously, the Octiv Duo is well designed and offers reasonably good sound for the money.
