  • Abstract:  I’ve had the inMotion MAX for a few months now and I didn’t open it because I was worried it would be just another iPod dock. I was wrong. The Altec Lansing inMotion MAX is more feature rich, offers comparable if not better sound, and is more compact ...

  • compact and stylish design; ability to go cordless for about three hours; compatible with almost all iPods including iPhone; excellent sound from such a portable (and at times cordless) system
  • The buttons on the top are too easy to upset unintentionally (ie - when moving the player)

  • Abstract:  Altec Lansing has been building iPod speaker systems for quite a while now, and before that was a purveyor of PC speaker systems in various price ranges. As Apple has offered multiple generations of its iPod music and video player, Altec Lansing has of...

  • Good sound, Small footprint, Built-in battery and FM radio, Works with iPhone and iPod alarms
  • Amber screen is tiny and dim, Touch controls and remote aren’t responsive enough, Some iPods buzz against the grille at high volumes
  • The inMotion Max is well suited to a desktop at home or at work, and it would even make a good study companion in a dorm room. It’ll sound tinny in wide-open spaces such as beaches and parks, but in smaller outdoor areas it sounds pretty good for it...

  • Sturdy, attractive design. Rechargeable battery for added portability. Works with iPods and iPhones.
  • Speakers lack strong bass response. Sound distortion at high volumes. A bit large to be truly portable. No video out. Only four radio presets. Limited remote.
  • The portable inMotion Max iPod dock works with iPhones and sports a cool, rugged look—but it distorts at high volumes and is less portable than one would hope....
