  • Rocksolid; good optical image stabilization; "easy" mode; great video quality.
  • Awkwardly placed zoom button; stop button delay. Very slight artifacting.

  • Excellent video and performance; satisfying photo quality; a decent set of manual controls for the target audience; bundled dock.
  • No wind filter; no USB port on camcorder, just on bundled dock; annoying touch screen interface; cables not ubiquitous yet for mini-HDMI connector.
  • The hard-drive-based analog of the HDR-HC7, the Sony Handycam HDR-SR7 finally delivers a cutting-edge HD video experience, complete with great video and compatibility frustrations.

  • Vibrant picture quality, excellent stills mode, user-friendly touch interface
  • Its practically the same price as the superior HDR-SR8E The Final Word As a standalone product, the HDR-SR7E is nearly impossible to fault. However, most users would be better off getting the HDR-SR8E, which offers a much larger hard drive for a sligh...

  • Plenty of output and input options, Easy to hold steady, Sharp and vivid video ...
  • but youll need an HD TV and Blu-ray/PS3 to truly get the best, Manual settings require diving through touchscreen menus, Mini-HDMI cable not included -- screams of penny pinching
  • If youve got the prerequisite high-def hardware in your lounge room and are in the market for a camcorder, this is the one to get. ...

  • Sony changes its HD camera line-up more often than students change their underwear, so don’t dismiss this 1080i shooter just because it’s not the latest model. Video quality through the 10x Carl Zeiss lens is exceptional, with x.v.Colour mode...
  • If you can’t find the SR7E at a heavy discount, Sony’s newest camcorders up the screen size to a cinematic 3.2-inches and add clever exposure tweaks for around the same price. Plus, keep a few quid spare for a HDMI cable.
  • Full HD camcorders have finally matured. If you’ve been waiting for the dust to settle before leaping into a whole new world of sharp video, bright colours and crisp sound, wait no longer and snaffle up this little beauty.Sony HDR-SR7E Camcorder is...

  • Abstract:  Sony has put all of its creativity into the HDR-SR7 camcorder ($2500). This fantastic camera is capable of recording up to 22 hours of high definition footage in 1080i onto its 60 GB hard drive. It comes with Carl Zeiss lenses which allows shooting vid...

  • Abstract:  FOR the most part, the SR7s auto-mode produced natural and pleasant colours that were not oversaturated. An outdoor cloud scene was magnificently vivid. The blue sky and swirling clouds were true-to-life.The details in the video footage were almost pin...
