  • Abstract:  We did not compare HDDs of different form-factor in this review directly, but the performance of the 2.5-inch models seems to be quite comparable to that of their full-size counterparts. Moreover, the 2.5-inchers are faster than 3.5-inch drives at random-address operations due to the smaller working zone of the platter.
