  • Records RAW and JPEG images at once, Can limit ISO range used in auto modes
  • Low marks for image sharpness, Hardtouse doors for media and battery
  • An inexpensive, consumer-level digital SLR, the GX-10 captures well-exposed images, but our test shots werent very sharp.

  • Abstract:  The Samsung GX10 is a beefy DSLR from a company well-known for its slim-and-sexy point-and-shoots. While it’s done a consumer DSLRs before, this 10.2-megapixel beast is quite a step up from the previous 6-megapixel version, the GX1S, they sold for a...

  • Abstract:  Although some people might argue that the Pentax name will guarantee a higher price on the second-hand market later, it is hard to predict how the cooperation between Pentax and Samsung will develop in the near future. You only have to look at what ha...

  • Abstract:  The Pentax / Samsung relationship has been something of a strange affair when it has come to their DSLR output, continually resulting in two products that can only be separated by the maker’s name and price. At the launch of the K10D and GX10 though...

  • Abstract:  It's a relatively well-known fact that in the camera industry the big profits are in SLR systems rather than compact cameras, which is why all the camera companies have been falling over each other to get consumer-priced digital SLRs into the shops. With ...

  • Excellent photo quality; well-designed and solidly built body; premium features for its price class; nice kit lens.
  • Occasional autofocus hunting; Optical Picture Stabilization only buys you about a stop.
  • Despite a great feature set for the price, pro-level customization, and excellent photo quality, we cant think of a single reason to buy the Samsung GX-10 over its Pentax-made twin, the K10D.
