  • The Pioneer PDP6020FD has astonishing black level performance,
  • Weighing 112.4 lbs, this TV is much heavier than many other Plasma TVs.
  • For those who don't care about the price tag, this is the plasma TV for you....

  • If you want a truly large screen HDTV, be sure and give the PDP-6020FD a good look at your local electronics store. Pioneer has done quite well in the TV business since the advent of flat screens, and this model doesn't disappoint. Brightness and contr...

  • Deep velvety blacks give images a near threedimensional quality, Excellent detail with no digital haze or artifacts on 1080p sources, 72 Hz mode gives 24 FPS film sources a more natural filmlike look without imparting an overly smooth videolike quality to...
  • Pricy, Reds slightly inaccurate, Limited picture adjustments (and no color temperature adjustment), Remote control not easy to operate without looking at it
  • Plasma technology continues to edge out LCD in the area of black level reproduction, and the Pioneer KURO continues to do blacks better than even the best competitive plasmas. Lets hope Pioneer continues to attain - or even to surpass - these levels ...

  • Abstract:  REVIEW LCD TVs outsell all other flat-panel HDTV sets by a huge margin, but the image quality from the new Pioneer KURO PDP-5020FD ($4,000 list) plasma may just give the competition a run for its money. The 50-inch set delivers the best picture contr...

  • Absolutely outstanding black levels and detail in dark areas. The black levels are very good even in well lit environments, Very good contrast, Great overall picture quality (even though base colors are not absolutely perfect), Visible improvement in quality over its predecessor, Very good antireflective screen, Optimum Mode is a nice feature for the average user, Network connectivity and
  • Fewer controls for fine tuning than its predecessor. The lack of color and temperature controls is the biggest minus for this plasma TV, Slightly inaccurate color reproduction for base colors. This is however very hard if not impossible to distinguish with naked eye when watching real content (movies, TV), Probably the price, though to be honest I think PDP5020FD it’s worth the money. The MSRP

  • Abstract:  As the flagship plasma TV for Pioneer’s lineup, the Kuro is an ultra-elite, high-definition flat-screen that will probably only appeal to consumers who are willing to pay the price of admission. The brave bottomless-pocket few who are not turned away b...

  • Produces the deepest shade of black of any big-screen display weve tested; accurate color decoding; dejudder processing option; 72Hz mode for 1080p/24 sources works well; superb antireflective screen; streams photo, music, and video files over home ne...
  • Expensive; inaccurate primary colors; lacks advanced picture controls; frame causes minor reflections.
  • Best-in-class black levels and excellent all-around performance places the Pioneer PDP-5020FD near the top of the picture quality heap, but it will cost you. Specifications: Product type: Plasma TV; Diagonal size: 50 in; Resolution: 1920 x 1080; See fu...
