The Parasound JC 2's sound quality is superlativerefined, accurate and capable of extraordinary resolution, It's amazingly quiet, so music simply emerges out of a black background, It's not inexpensive, but at $4,000, it can nonetheless be considered a true value for a highend preamplifier,
The JC 2 doesn't have a phono input, so an outboard phono stage is required in order to use it with a turntable, It doesn't come with a fullfunction remote control. It does all you need to operate the JC 2, but some users like remotes with comprehensive system control functionality. Back lighting for the remote would have been nice addition at this price point.
