  • Easy to use and set up, Fantastic picture quality, Good connectivity, Good built-in audio, Freesat.
  • Distractingly reflective screen surface, No record to SD card, only HD playback, Reds a little flat.
  • Yes, we’re still waiting on Freesat to deliver both the service and range of channels a TV set like this deserves, but as that’s out of Panasonics hands, products like this will help build a groundswell for improved Freesat HD programming. The...

  • Abstract:  Rather handily, just as I was about to write this review Sky did something it seldom does: it dropped one of its prices. And that price, tellingly, was for its HD receiver, which, from July 1st, will be available to new and existing Sky subscribers alike ...

  • It's easy to be lulled into thinking that the Panasonic TH50PZ81 is simply a PZ85 augmented by the addition of a Freesat tuner, but the PZ81 boasts a few extra features not found on the PZ85: picture-and-picture (PaP) and picture-in-picture (PiP) function...

  • The convenience of built-in Freesat. Excellent off-air performance. Punchy picture with Blu-ray. Proper contrast
  • Sound could be better, as could sharpness next to some rivals. Not as sexy as a few alternatives
  • A top-notch TV in its own right, but the Freesat HD tuner seals its appeal. Big, beautiful and pretty good value, too ...

  • Distractingly reflective screen surface, no record to SD card, only HD playback, reds a little flat
  • The World’s first flat panel plasma set with built-in Freesat, Freeview and analogue tuners, the TH-46PZ81B delivers on all levels and is a superb TV, well worth a closer look for those wanting a top notch TV with free high-definition as standard...

  • Want HD but don’t fancy a pricey Sky subscription? This gorgeous 46-inch Full HD plasma is the first TV to come with Freesat built in – just hook up a dish and you can snatch 1080 broadcasts from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 from space, all for...
  • Yes, the 46PZ81 costs more than a weekend in a swanky hotel with champagne on tap and a close personal friend, but will that friend give you a 180-degree viewing angle and a choice of top quality input and output ports? Wait a second, that came out wrong.
  • The rumours of the death of plasma have been greatly exaggerated – this stunning 1080p TV couldn’t be more future-proofed if it ran on biodiesel made from recycled iPods. Best offers for the Panasonic TH-46PZ81BEldon Electricals £849.00 P...

  • Integrated Freesat tuner and fine overall performance create an interesting proposition. With intense competition from Plasma and LCD rivals however we feel that the figures dont quite add up. Those looking for the convenience of an integrated free...

  • Typically outstanding Panasonic plasma picture quality; freesat tuner works a treat; easy to use; decent value
  • freesat's limited HD content; weaknesses in some freesat broadcasts
  • With most of the hardware support for freesat coming from predominantly budget brands such as Bush, the new digital platform sorely needs some proper heavyweight action. This stunning TV from Panasonic fits the bill perfectly, giving us freesat in its...
