Abstract: About this time last year I reviewed a brace of new cameras from Olympus, the mju 1010 and 1020 , and I was reasonably impressed with them, although I was rather puzzled that Olympus would launch two such similar cameras, since both were 10.1-megapixel, 7...

7x optical zoom; compact form factor; easy operation.
Laggy menu interface; lacks wide-angle optics; image quality not up to standard.
The Mju 1060 will probably win some people over with its long zoom lens and small footprint. But if you are fussy about image quality, then this Olympus may not be that suitable.
Lots of useful modes such as Guide and iAuto mode for beginners; Slim design; long zoom range.
Poor ISO performance; video capture could be better.
All in all, the Olympus mju 1060 stands out as the perfect camera for users who are not into serious photography or are just unsure how to use a camera. I can definitely see how the Guide mode will be helpful in getting the camera into the right shoot...
