  • You can update maps and device software via Wi-Fi instead of plugging it into a computer
  • Its display only measures 5 inches and isn't quite full HD

  • It doesn't always provide the most direct route, Not as quick as we'd like when recalculating the route if you make a wrong turn
  • This satnav is a case of both style and subtance. It's easy to follow and with some great extra features, it pretty much has it all. But it does come with a hefty price tag, especially if you don't want to use your smartphone to get traffic information...

  • Abstract:  Obwohl die Smartphones zu immer besseren Navigationshilfen werden, bevorzugen viele Autofahrer weiterhin eigenständige Navigationsgeräte. Am Markt liefern sich vor allem zwei große Hersteller einen Schlagabtausch: TomTom und Garmin. Den gewachsenen Anforderungen werden moderne Navigationssysteme mit ihrem großen Funktionsumfang gerecht. So kommt kein Highend-Navi heute noch ohne den Empfang von Stau-Informationen in Echtzeit aus. Die Konkurrenz zu den Navigations-Apps ist groß, auch wenn Navigationsgeräte weiterhin deutliche Vorteile haben. In den Fokus rücken nun verstärkt Effektivität und Effizienz – sowohl bei der GPS-Navigation als auch bei der Bedienung.
