  • co-op options, high challenge (especially the Echelon mode), familiar actions/scenarios increase success rate, special fuse weapon abilities, high replay value, weapon cache/upgrades, no competitive multiplayer mode (a refreshing change)
  • familiar actions/scenarios diminish variety, familiar storyline, minimal character development

  • Abstract:  CommentInsomniac Games makes their first multiplatform debut in co-op fashion with Fuse for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That's right, the popular developers of Ratchet and Clank and Resistance have finally found their way onto a new platform, and w...

  • Neat array of unique weapons, Combining skills with friends is gratifying, Some nice visual flair and punchy sound effects.
  • Friendly AI is barely helpful, Solo play is fairly dull, Echelon mode is impossible to enjoy alone
  • Fuse is a slick third-person shooter that is just fine to play solo, but a lot of fun with friends....

  • Each character feels uniquely powerful, Assorted abilities work well together in co-op, Wide range of environments spread across each lengthy mission
  • Level design falls into a regular pattern of corridors connecting battle arenas, Late-game feels like a grind as enemy variety tails off, Spiking difficulty in the later missions lacks imagination, favors brute-force challenge
  • Fuse lays out a healthy foundation for surface-level fun and little else. The good bits are in an even race with the bad ones, but the balance tips heavily toward the former when you're playing in co-op with a communicative squad. There's a fun game her...

  • FUSE might seem like a knock off when played solo, but bring in 3 of your friends and you have an enticing and fun co-op mode. What FUSE achieves in action and intensity it lets down in enemy AI. Stay away if you're looking for a single player experience...
