  • Combat doesn't get old, Lots of room for experimentation, Pawns are a great way to build a party
  • Handheld mode had disappearing enemies, Major loads after using inns if you have a pawn, Some AI issues

  • Climbing gigantic monsters and stabbing them is just too cool, Pawn system is deep and lets friends level each others' party members, A huge world, countless quests, and nearly limitless adventure all for just thirty bucks
  • Graphics and frame rate don't take advantage of the Xbox One's horsepower, Character customization options are limited compared to modern RPGs, The combat strangely lacks a roll or dodge move by default, though dodges eventually can be equipped

  • Dragon's Dogma is still the same fantastic title it was back in 2012, though the PC version shows the game's age more clearly than the console counterpart...

  • If you're looking to quench your action/adventure RPG thirst after playing The Witcher 3 or Fallout 4, you may find yourself a bit disappointed with Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. It's less of an exploration game and more of a skill-based action one at that...

  • Abstract:  It's been a couple hours since I last saw the inside of a city, much less a warm and cozy inn. I'm lost in the middle of a forest and, even worse, it's night. Two groups of bandits, one of which has a sorcerer and cyclops, pursue my near-death party of ad...

  • The PC port doesn't introduce much new and certain elements could be stronger, but Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen still shines as a uniquely enjoyable RPG...

  • Abstract:  After a year or so of lavish and enormous open world role-playing games – The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition – it's perhaps a little odd to see a rerelease of a fantasy RPG from 2013: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has at long last been ported...

  • Abstract:  Why should you give two thoughts to picking up a PC re-release of a game that launched on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2013? Well, here's a bunch of reasons.Seriously, give consideration to checking out Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen when it launches on Steam th...

  • Brilliant pawn system, Excellent blend of tactical and action combat, Morally ambiguous and open world, Great graphics options
  • Lack of improved textures contrasts heightened graphics options, Rough grappling and climbing controls, Sometimes obfuscated quest objectives
  • Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a worthy memorial to a criminally underrated title, and although it falters at times, the design, combat, scenery, and world this game molds is one that deserves preservation
