  • Abstract:  Disney Epic Mickey always sounded too good to be true. Obviously, a Warren Spector project featuring a paintbrush-wielding Mickey Mouse had a lot of appeal for gamers and Disney fans alike. Unfortunately, the final product turned out to be notably fla...

  • Abstract:  Epic is definitely a strong word. When Epic Mickey was announced, fans of classic Disney were overjoyed. The prospect of a dark, twisted take on the world's most famous mouse from the depths of the mind that brought the world System Shock and Deus Ex se...

  • Epic Mickey sets Disney’s famous mouse on a journey through a land of the forgotten, and it’s up to you whether the title character plays a noble hero, an insensitive jerk, or somewhere in the middle. The game falls a bit short of being as epic as the...

  • Abstract:  You’ve got to feel bad for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. No one remembers him. You’d think that everyone would love and cherish the first character ever created by Walt Disney, but he hasn’t gotten any recognition in nearly seven decades. He’s spent that ...

  • Best graphics on the Wii to date, deep Disney content, wideopen gameplay,
  • The camera, questionable level / quest design
  • Epic Mickey - the game I purchased a Wii for. After a brief interlude with this title in demo form at the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo, I knew my gaming life would not be complete until I added this title to my collection. So, was Epic Mickey “...

  • Abstract:  Released a few weeks ago, Disney Epic Mickey has proven more challenging and time-consuming that this editor cares to admit, and not so much in game design or gameplay, as just the mental conditioning it takes to stick with this game to the end. I admi...

  • Abstract:  Stylistically, Epic Mickey is an incredible game. From its opening cut scene to its final moments, the game’s presentation is top notch—even more so if you have any knowledge of Disneyland. However, the gameplay is hit-or-miss with a main concept that ...

  • Abstract:  Epic Mickey is an odd duck. What first looks like a third-person platformer changes into something less action oriented than the comparisons to Mario Sunshine's environmentally-manipulative gameplay mechanics which it resurrects, this time with a more ...

  • Looks awesome, has a neat paint and thinner mechanic, your actions affect the world and people in the Wasteland, great soundtrack, animated story segments have a unique feel, story is well written, there are secret areas hidden, auto-saves, can unlock extra features and art, quite a few sidequests are available, items carry over in subsequent playthroughs and there are lots of character cameos. M
  • In-game camera is a fearsome foe and side-scrolling levels feel pretty pointless. Sometime paint/thinner doesn’t go where you want it to. Quests can expire if you leave an area where they were in. You can’t chose when to save. Only one “main” ending, regardless of your actions with paint or thinner.

  • Disney Epic Mickey is undeniably the disappointment of the year for us. It was a concept that promised so much when it emerged last year but has ultimately ended up falling far short of the mark. What's more troubling than all of this, though, is that ...
