  • Large, high-quality display, Solid bundled peripherals
  • A handful of poorly located ports, Optional $99 charging stand doesn't add ports, Mundane design, Poor performance for the price, Heavy and awkward to use as a tablet, Not a good value
  • Manufacturers are currently experimenting with many hybrid designs. Some are based on laptops, others take inspiration from all-in-ones, and all of them are testing uncharted waters. Consumers seem to want a do-it-all device, but actually delivering it ...

  • IPS display with good viewing angle stability, Good color fidelity, Dual channel RAM, Very good overall concept, Excellent build quality, Great keyboard, Mouse and charging dock included, Easy to maintain, Numerous accessories available, Full CPU performa
  • Reduced GPU performance running on battery, Quite loud under load, Grayscale presentation could be better
  • The Dell XPS 18 convinces us.Dell presents a conclusive and working concept with the XPS 18. The big tablet meets the requirements of an All-in-One PC.Contrary to the Sony Vaio Tap 20 the XPS 18 can still be called a tablet; it is not even half the weight...

  • Well-built and attractive PC converts to giant tabletop tablet, Great-looking screen, Decent performance, Highly responsive touch screen
  • Small screen for an all-in-one at this price, Just two USB ports, No HDMI
  • This compact, thin, and light all-in-one PC doubles as a tabletop Windows 8 tablet with a highly responsive and gorgeous screen. The 18.4-inch display is small for an AIO desktop, but just the right size for its double-duty functionality. ...

  • Of all the computers I've looked at over the last 25 years, these two were the hardest to pick between because they are so similar -- and, at the same time, so different. I really like the Tap 20's handle-stand and the inclusion of ArtRage software. I...

  • The Dell XPS 18 certainly has a split identity as it could certainly be used as a sleek-looking AIO computer where you're completely free of any unnecessary cables hanging off of your computer in order to connect your display, keyboard, mouse and anything...

  • Extremely thin for an all-in-one, Great audio, More than 4 hours of battery life, Great for multiplayer games
  • Grainy webcam, Reflective display, Mediocre external keyboard
  • The Dell XPS 18 is part giant tablet, part desktop PC and a whole lot of fun for the whole family....

  • Portable around the house. Huge screen for a portable. Thinner and lighter than previous portable all in ones. Ultrabook performance in a tablet form factor. WiDi compatible. 12 month subscription to McAfee Security.
  • Stand is charging only. Limited ports. Kickstands are plastic/polycarbonate
  • The Dell XPS 18 fulfills a niche somewhere between a large screen ultrabook and a dedicated all-in-one desktop PC. It mostly works, though the market for such a product is still in its beginning stages....

  • The Dell XPS 18 combines an all-in-one PC with a lightweight 18-inch tablet, making it a flexible system for at-home entertainment and productivity
  • You're paying a premium for a relatively small screen. Less expensive configurations cut too many corners to be a good deal
  • It's the best of the small handful of current tablet/all-in-one hybrids, with a subtle, sophisticated design and good battery life, but this new genre is still in its early days.
