  • Versatile unit, good features for printing photos, good business features, good speed and image quality
  • Large unit, price is a little high for inkjet, no Ethernet port
  • If your budget can handle the price tag, Canons Pixma MP830 inkjet multifunction device provides one of the best mixtures of value and features that youll find in machines aimed at SOHO users, making it a versatile option and a Consumer Guide Best B...

  • Abstract:  Are the extra features available on Canons top of the range all-in-one worth the high price?

  • The Canon Pixma MP830 is inexpensive for a multifunction printer that includes a fax machine, an ADF, a duplexer, and a media card reader. Its quick at scanning and printing.
  • The MP830 is not networkable and its color graphics print quality leaves something to be desired.
  • The Canon Pixma MP830 is a good option for a single home or office user who doesnt need high-quality graphics prints. If you need better graphics handling or networking, check out the HP OfficeJet 7410.

  • The software provided with this unit is excellent with a full suite of applications for scanning, printing (in a variety of formats) and document management.
  • The user’s manual is on disc and during installation it is copied to the hard drive and a shortcut appears on the desktop. It has no index and no document-wide search facility. It is cheap, annoying and virtually useless. Of all the on-disc manuals...
  • The Pixma MP830 is not the recommended printer or scanner for the photographer looking to make great prints. It does make good prints, but Canon’s Pixma printer range has other units that do the job as well for less money. This unit is definitely fo...
