  • The Canon Pixma MP500 features excellent photo and text printing, built-in card readers and a PictBridge port, and individual ink tanks, including pigment-based black for text.
  • The Canon Pixma MP500s color scan quality is mediocre, and you have to buy your own USB cable.
  • Families and digital photo hobbyists should consider the well-designed Canon Pixma MP500 for prints, but we were disappointed by its mediocre color film scans.
