  • Abstract:  With its squarish design, the DLP-based BenQ PE7700 looks retro, but theres nothing low-tech about it. Among its features are a control for picture-in-picture on its oversized remote, and a second component-video input — rarities on a projector.

  • Natural colors, Enhanced contrast improves scenes, especially dark ones, Very good remote, Bright! Enough “horsepower” to power large screens (up to 140″ diagonal), Out of the box performance is great, without tweaking, Price Performance, Multiple Image m
  • No lens shift, Can’t jump directly between any two Image modes, No 12 volt screen trigger
  • Pleasing natural colors, and my favorite phrase – “film like” quality, pretty much sum up the performance, but also value and price performance come to mind as legitimate phrases to describe this home theater projector...

  • Abstract:  While separate projectors and screens are not for everyone, for many of us they define the essence of the true home theater video experience. A big-screen television is fine as far as it goes, and certainly appeals to a wide market. But nothing quite m...

  • Exceptional value for money. Great image quality. High speed colour wheel. Whisper quiet.
  • Noticeable rainbow effect, despite use of high speed colour wheel. No lens shift feature. Only one set of component inputs.
  • Were not sure how BenQ has managed to get the PE7700 to market at such a low price, but were certainly not complaining. If you dont notice the rainbow effect, we can easily recommend the PE7700 as the sub-$5,000 projector to get.

  • Abstract:  BenQ (pronounced Ben-queue, in case you were afraid to ask) is making a concerted effort to become a hip, cool technology vendor, much like that benchmark for hip and cool technology vendors, Sony. While many of its products tend to fall more in the IT...
