  • Phenomenal battery; Mavericks OS X; Retina Display; Reasonable starting price
  • No discrete graphics option; Hardware not user upgradeable
  • A fantastic all-roundmachine with a brilliant battery life, the 13in MacBook Pro is definitely worth the investment if you're constantly on the move and need HDMI and Thunderbolt ports....

  • All in all, the MacBook Pro 13in RD is fairly decent machine in terms of performance, but I'm not convinced that this form factor is appropriate for the Pro moniker. Pro suggests it's for folk who know what they're doing and do pros really want to buy in...

  • Powerful, great screen, good design, brilliant battery life
  • Have been issues with a number of elements (now fixed), not as powerful as some would like, glossy screen, no discrete graphics, this or the Air
  • The question here isn't whether the MacBook Pro is better than the 2012 model or whether it stacks up against the 15-inch version - which has also recently upgraded to include the intel Haswell processor - but whether it makes more sense than a MacB...

  • Is the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display better than all the top Windows Ultrabooks and assorted high-spec laptops we've ever used? Of course it is, but then we knew it should be. Our review model was £500 more expensive than most of them. So, is it...

  • Haswell chips and Mavericks increase battery life; faster 11ac Wi-Fi, same great Retina display
  • Memory still soldered, upgrades overpriced, still no >HD output from HDMI
  • There's something subjectively ‘right' about the shape and size of the 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina. It's not as quick as the 15-inch but for many people in most scenarios, in really doesn't need to be – yet it still challenges the speed of last year's quad...

  • Excellent build quality, Very thin and light, Great keyboard and touchpad, Retina display is beautiful, Outstanding battery life, Strong performance in all areas, Runs quietly, Good value
  • Design remains unchanged, Retina display crushes black detail
  • The MacBook Pro 13 banishes any questions about its place as king of the ultraportable market. While there are some ultrabooks which match its display, battery life or performance, there are none that can do all three, and those that try (such as Dell's...

  • Abstract:  How do you improve arguably the finest notebook computer money can buy? Aside from reducing the price to bring it more in reach, you increase its battery life; and its wireless connection range too. We had a little hands-on time with the new Apple MacBoo...

  • Abstract:  Alongside the new iPad Air and the iPad Mini Retina , Apple took the wrappers off its new MacBook Pro 13 and 15-inch models for 2013 . Both come with brand-spanking new Intel processors, a lighter design and improved battery life. We went in for a closer ...

  • Abstract:  I think there are three laptops on the market that look really stylish: Asus's Zenbook , Samsung's Series 9 and the Apple MacBook Air. The first of these is rather shiny, brushed metal unit the looks ostentatiously beautiful and now runs Windows 8 in ...
