  • All in all I think the Western Digital My Net AC 1300 is a great product. The installation could not have been more simple and hassle free. Once we had the testing procedures all set up and ready to go, the numbers that the router showed were very nice....

  • Simple setup, WPS enabled, Preset QoS – FasTrack, Low profile, Dual Band
  • Plastic construction, Out of the box FasTrack can cause decreased network performance, Network attached drive speeds pedestrian
  • Installation and Testing Continued The final tab is the Advance Setup section, which is designed for the power user. Here the user can fine tune settings; get more detailed information, change administrator password and much more. For those folks with ch...

  • Abstract:  Since the launch of the first 802.11ac router in 2012 , there has been slow but steady trickle of new products appearing in the consumer market. With the IEEE standard still slowly edging towards ratification in early 2014, full business-grade models are ...

  • Dual USB ports, IPv6 support, Good balance of wired and wireless performance
  • USB 2.0 vs. USB 3.0 ports, No transmit power adjust or wireless on/off scheduling
  • Given the similarity of designs, the first crop of draft 802.11ac routers have tended to be more alike than different. Among the three AC1750 routers tested or retested with our new wireless test process, the WD My Net AC1300 clearly performs more like th...

  • Western Digital is a newcomer to wireless networking, but the company has made an impressive entrance. Although the Asus RT-AC66U remains our top pick in this category, WD's My Net AC1300 is a strong contender - especially for people with less experie...

  • Abstract:  Western Digital entered the networking market in 2012 with an 802.11n router. The company has now delivered not only its first 802.11ac Draft 2.0 router—the My Net AC1300—but also its first 802.11ac bridge, the My Net AC Bridge (you can read that review h...

  • Supports 802.11ac. Easy set up. USB ports support storage, printers and other USB devices. Well-designed GUI.
  • 11ac throughput lower than other competing routers. Does not sustain range well at 2.4 GHz Mixed mode. Fewer LAN ports than previous Western Digital routers. Dropped Internet connections in testing. Sluggish interface
  • The AC1300 is the second router we've tested from Western Digital and it's a decent router but frankly, not as impressive as Western Digital's debut MyNet N900....

  • The Western Digital My Net AC1300 HD dual-band router offers 802.11ac support with overall decent performance. It also comes with useful entertainment and security features for home users
  • The My Net AC1300 HD doesn't offer any unique features of its own or anything to make it worth the wait compared with its peers. Its performance and range could also use some improvement
  • The Western Digital My Net AC13900 HD is a good router but not good enough for it to stand out among the crowd of a handful 802.11ac networking devices on the market.

  • Simple setup, Intuitive user interface, Integrated media prioritisation
  • Wireless speeds behind sector benchmarks, No Cloud platform, Feature set deserves cheaper pricing, Dull design
  • Competent is the word which most comes to mind with the AC1300. It is solidly constructed, fast and nicely featured but it looks dull, isn't as quick as the fastest routers and lacks the ambitious Cloud platforms being developed by Asus, D-Link and Linksy...
