Good battery; Decent performance; Lots of connectivity
Too heavy to be a tablet; Average screen; Price of a laptop
The Toshiba Satellite U920T isn't the best hybrid device out there. It does offer more functionality than the Surface RT, but is simply too heavy to be used a tablet as you cannot undock the keyboard....
Portable, Lots of processing power, Touchscreen is responsive, HDMI, Decent battery life
Far too heavy in tablet mode, Design won't appeal to everybody's tastes, Rather expensive as a tablet replacement, Rubbish cameras both on the front and rear
Microsoft's vision of the future is one full of devices like the Toshiba Satellite U920T. In this world, laptops and tablets as distinct products have ceased to exist, with everybody now using ultra-portable, versatile, touch-based hybrid devices that f...
The Toshiba Satellite U920T is a very likable convertible Ultrabook, although it took me a while to realise why. The reason, I'd say, is that it doesn't come across as some toy-like novelty item – it errs more on the sensible side. Even so, I still want ...
Decent performance for the price, distinctive look,
Screen not full HD, weird transforming method, heavy for a tablet
The U920T carries a pretty good spec and performs reasonably well for its price. It also features a distinctively different way of transforming between tablet and laptop configurations, but whether this is actually better than other methods will come d...
IPS display with wide viewing angles, Contrast (870:1), Good overall responsiveness, Good headphone output, Quiet keyboard
Inaccurate colours on screen, Loud when doing heavy tasks, The touchpad's too small!, Heavy for a tablet (1.5 kg), Low speaker volume, No RJ45 port
The Toshiba Satellite U920T has good processing power, good responsiveness and a good touchscreen to make up for the small touchpad. But it's just too heavy to use as a tablet. If you're not in it for the touchscreen, then we recommend the Portégé Z930, w...
Fair performance from lowend components, Decent build quality
Unpleasant transforming method, Low resolution screen, Relatively high price
The Toshiba Satellite U920T has a unique way of transforming from a tablet into a laptop. Sadly, it's not a very nice one and together with the low resolution screen and only moderate performance, it doesn't do much to justify the price tag....
Relatively affordable, Sturdy and pleasant to the touch, Flexible specs with up to Core i5 and 8GB RAM, Superior battery life to rivals, Great speakers
Awkward sliding action, Average typing experience and touchpad, Bog-standard screen res with poor viewing angles for IPS, No optional digitizer stylus
The Toshiba Satellite U920t is a well-built and reasonably attractive convertible laptop/tablet with smooth and assured sliding action, although it's rather awkward to open compared to other sliders. It offers decent connectivity, an average typing experi...
The Toshiba U920T is certainly an interesting product. We haven't had long with it so we'll reserve judgement until we get it into the PC Advisor lab. ...
