It's good to see Sony lavishing some upgrades worthy of the name on its flagship phone. With an impressive new camera module, a fingerprint reader and refined design, it's a highly competent handset that, for fans of previous Sony phones, raises the bar s...

Sturdy, solid Sony design, More powerful, with more RAM, compared with previous models, Clean, easy to use user interface, Decent camera
Mostly identical to older, now cheaper, Xperia phones, Fingerprint scanner is a bit flaky
The Sony Xperia Z5 is exactly what we expect from a Sony flagship: nothing more, nothing less. There's enough power onboard to make for smooth, seamless operation, and the camera is good. For better or worse, if you've seen any Sony Xperia Z model release...
Beautifully designed and built; One of the most water resistant phones out there; Excellent camera (when it loads); Still supports upgradeable memory; Can be used to control a PlayStation 4; Supports a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security; Location of
Phone can get a little warm; Battery won't hit two days (as advertised) even with Stamina mode; Camera takes longer to load up than it should; Fingerprint sensor won't touch wet fingers; Bugs;
Because of the bugs and battery life, it's hard to fall in love with the Z5 the same way we did with last year's Z3. Perhaps when they're ironed out, we'll find a phone that has the goods to really take on the competition, but until then, it feels a littl...
The Sony Xperia Z5 looks good, has plenty of power, its camera can take some great snaps and it won't die when you spill your drink on it
Only minor updates from its predecessor means it lacks the excitement of its rivals. Its waterproofing no longer allows for full submersion, meaning it can't be used for underwater photography
Even with strong specs befitting a high-end phone, the Sony Xperia Z5 adds little over its predecessor to make it an exciting option over rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge...

This is a very good phone but it is not necessarily any better than the iPhone 6s/Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 series, or the LG G4. Most international reviews compare it favourably with Samsung S6 series, LG G4, Moto X Play/Style, and iPhone 6s/Plus. Techr...
Abstract: The Sony Z5 smartphone. Photo: Peter WellsThe Xperia Z5 and Compact are essentially the same phone in two different sizes, small and medium. A larger Z5 Premium is coming in November, but that's for another article.There are a few small differences betwee...

Abstract: The Xperia Z5 isn't yet released in the Australian market, and Sony is making some bold claims about the quality of its camera, and not without good cause; the camera can produce some amazing results, but is it really the market leader? Last night in Sydn...

It's good to see Sony finally upping its game and lavishing some upgrades worthy of the name on its flagship phone. With an impressive new camera module, a fingerprint reader and refined design, it's a highly competent handset that, for fans of Sony phone...
I love the new design. It's a great improvement on the clear glass back and sharp edges of the Xperia Z2. The Z5 is lighter, it's thinner, and the frosted glass back is nothing short of gorgeous. I think it's up in the realms of the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6
It still gets too hot – the Xperia Z3+ was unbearable and though this is much better it's still not good enough. Playing a game for an hour shouldn't make the phone unholdable, and Sony needs to rethink the processor for the Xperia Z6, I really would have
If you're going to buy a Sony phone, make it this one. The Xperia Z5 is the best phone Sony has ever produced and it's up there as one of the best Android phones on the market right now.After the abomination that was the Xperia Z3+, it would have been eas...
For some, the Xperia Z5 will have come far too soon after the launch of the Z3+, but for me, it can't have come soon enough. While it's slightly disappointing that Sony continues to persist with the same screen size and resolution, the display itself is t...
