  • We've griped on a little about the Z3 Compact's faults, but for all of them it's still a great phone. Remembering that it'll run you $100 or more under another flagship, or even almost $200 less than an iPhone, it certainly delivers on your money. It's...

  • Built very well; Shows that a 4.6 inch phone can indeed be compact; Impressive 4G speeds; Excellent battery life; Solid performance across the board; Can be docked with Sony's magnetic docking system; Supports upgradeable memory by way of a microSD card;
  • A fair few bugs, including some odd Exchange issues, occasional camera failures, and dictionary problems; Plastic sides; Screen could probably be a little higher resolution; Camera software still seems a little rudimentary;
  • While it has the odd bug here and there, Sony's Xperia Z3 Compact is a solid smartphone for 2014, and one of the best all year, pushing so much into a small body that it's a hard phone to ignore.Interestingly, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact sends a clear mess...

  • The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact packs a larger screen than its predecessor in the same size body, it has tonnes of power, it's completely waterproof allowing for underwater photography and it has a good camera
  • The screen size has increased, but not the resolution, resulting in a less sharp image overall than its predecessor and many of its rivals. Although the camera takes good shots, its resolution is throttled in automatic mode and the white balance isn't per
  • Although it's a disappointment Sony hasn't increased the screen resolution along with its size, and the camera's quirks are rather odd, the Xperia Z3 Compact's improved design, vast amounts of power, decent battery life and waterproof body help it mainta...

  • It seems most OEMs are turning their backs on truly one-handed smartphone experiences. Sure there are a few out there which claim to be a shrunken variant of their flagship sibling, but none of these minis compare to the Z3 Compact, just as the Z1 Compact...

  • Even a few years on, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is still a very capable mid-range smartphone. It was arguably the first 'mini' phone that truly lived up to the idea of delivering a flagship experience inside a smaller chassis. Even today its fast processo...

  • Abstract:  There was no Sony Z2 Compact, which we thought was a massive shame, because the Z1 Compact was an awesome phone. Usually, when companies scale down their handsets, there is a reduction in power, but that wasn't the case with the Z1 Compact, it was every b...
