  • The Sony Reader Wi-Fi PRS-T1 is a compact and lightweight touch-screen e-book reader. It offers access to large catalog of e-books, magazines, and newspapers via Sony's online store, plus online loaners from your local library, has support for EPUB files,
  • At $149, the PRS-T1 costs $50 more than the $99 Kindle Touch and it doesn't offer some of the little extras, like 3G wireless, e-book lending, and social-media integration, that competing e-readers offer. The Sony bookstore isn't as extensive as Amazon.co
  • While there's no compelling reason to buy it over the Kindle Touch, the Sony Reader Wi-Fi is a very solid e-reader.

  • Much lighter Wi-Fi connectivity PDF reflow and annotations A massive price drop from the previous e-reader Infrared touchscreen Multiple dictionaries Solid battery life
  • Can't delete books directly from the device Can't perform software updates over Wi-Fi No place to put the stylus when not in use Software more or less the same as the PRS-650 Some software bugs
  • Although there have been a few changes and additions, the PRS-T1 is pretty much the same device as the PRS-650 — only much better value for money....

  • High quality screen, Long battery life
  • Complicated interface, No built-in Google Books store
  • Sony's touch-sensitive, Wi-Fi enabled eBook reader is a solid product, although you'll need to want the extra features afforded by the touchscreen for it to be worth buying over the cheaper and more intuitive Amazon Kindle...

  • Slim and lightweight, sensitive touch screen, WiFi, Sony Reader Store (when it opens),
  • A bit pricey
  • The Sony Reader PRS-T1 is a very capable ebook reader that's extremely light and has a tactile, sensitive screen. It's also an excellent PDF reader and Wi-Fi capability offers some interesting possibilities once the Sony Reader Store opens. It's a wort...

  • Multi-touch touchscreen, Thin and very light, Great E-ink Pearl screen
  • Reader Store still not open, No LRF support, Glossy front annoys
  • The Sony Reader PRS-T1 marks a slight change of direction for Sony's ereader range. Metal construction is out, replaced by a much lighter and slightly more affordable model that's roughly as thin and weighty as a Kindle, while packing better connectivity,...
