  • Excellent high ISO performance. Big 1inch image sensor. Sharp, wide aperture lens. 10fps burst shooting. Customizable controls. Large, titling LCD. Popup OLED EVF. Quick focus. Raw support. WiFi with NFC.
  • Very expensive. Short zoom range. Lacks hot shoe. External charger not included
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III compact camera earns Editors' Choice accolades because of its image quality and excellent EVF, even despite its high price....

  • Lovely photos with plenty of detai, high-quality OLED viewfinde, clean low-light photo, soli, all-metal chassi, extremely compact
  • Sluggish autofocu, occasional autoexposre glitche, jerky HD video at 24fp, pricey
  • If you want high-quality photos but don't want to lug a DSLR or mirrorless camera, the well-crafted RX100 III is the camera for you. Sure, cellphone cameras are getting really good. But sorry, they still don't cut it for images more than about...

  • Excellent image and video quality, Integrated pop-up EVF, Dedicated camera controls, Good battery life, New XAVC S codec for improved 1080p video
  • No touchscreen, Limited WiFi control, Expensive
  • At $800, Sony's RX100 III is a very expensive point-and-shoot, but it's an excellent buy if you have the cash to spare....

  • A great electronic viewfinder that doesn't increase the size of the svelte Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III is one of the camera's highlights. Plus it offers excellent performance, photo and video quality
  • The camera shuts down when you retract the viewfinder, the autofocus system could be more consistent, and it has poor battery life
  • The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III is an overall great camera that delivers significant improvements over the RX100 II, but not everyone will think it's worth the extra cost....

  • Abstract:  Well, you probably know me well enough to realize that this was a setup. The pictures are from the last camera most people would expect to be capable of such clarity, flexibility, and low-light skills. It's the tiny one on the right. (You can see the full...

  • Large sensor undoubtedly the best in its class, Bright maximum apertures across zoom range gives huge flexibility, High quality, responsive viewfinder, Builtin ND filter helps both video and stills shooting in bright light, Excellent level of control over
  • Clickless, slightly laggy control dial can make shooting experience feel disconnected, Focus peaking rather prone to indicating everything as infocus, JPEG sharpening a little clumsy and interacts oddly with heavy noise reduction, Autofocus can be hesitan
  • The RX100 III is the most capable compact camera we've ever seen. With its built-in viewfinder and more consistently fast lens, there's nothing that can provide better image quality in such a small package. It's not the perfect camera to take shot-to-shot...

  • As the naming suggests, the new Sony RX100 III may not be the groundbreaking model that the original was, but it's still at the top of the class and remains untouched for both the sensor performance and the high-end features. Some might criticize the shor...

  • Addition of integrated EVF; Increased maximum aperture; Image Quality
  • Removal of Multiinterface shoe; Lacking ability to manually select AF points on rear screen
  • Although it could be argued that the improvements found on the RX100 III are incremental rather than revolutionary, both current RX100 series owners and those looking for an impressive enthusiast compact will certainly welcome them. The larger maximum aper...

  • The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III is the best compact camera that we've ever reviewed, period. We were impressed by last year's Mark 2 model, but this third iteration takes several big steps forwards, most notably thanks to the inclusion of a high-qu...

  • Abstract:  Sony has launched a new model in its RX range of high-end compacts. Boasting a new faster lens, built-in pop-up viewfinder and large 1”-type sensor, with a 20.1Mp resolution, is the new Sony RX100 III the ultimate point and shoot camera?Sony's 3rd generat...
